The Daily Rubric Score
The Daily Rubric Score
Your Daily Rubric Score is a single number (3-99) that measures both your health performance and your commitment to tracking it.
The Formula
Your score is calculated from two components:
Rubric Score = Performance Index x Adherence Multiplier
| Component | Range | What It Measures |
|---|---|---|
| Performance Index | 3-33 | Sum of your sleep, nutrition, and activity sub-indices |
| Adherence Multiplier | 1x, 2x, or 3x | How completely you’re tracking and following your protocols |
The score is deterministic: same inputs always produce the same score. No AI interprets your day. No randomness. No hidden weights. The formula is public — it’s in this article. You can predict your score before you see it.
Score Tiers
The score card on your dashboard uses color to indicate your tier:
| Score Range | Tier Label | Color | What It Means |
|---|---|---|---|
| 80-99 | COMPLETE + ADHERENT | Green | Strong performance with full tracking and protocol adherence |
| 50-79 | COMPLETE | Blue | Solid fundamentals with room for improvement |
| 30-49 | PARTIAL | Amber | Gaps in health metrics or tracking consistency |
| 3-29 | INCOMPLETE | Gray | Significant gaps — likely missing data or protocol adherence issues |
Reading the Score Card
The score card appears on your dashboard. When you have a score, it displays:
- The score number in large monospace text, colored by tier.
- A tier badge below the number (e.g., “COMPLETE + ADHERENT”).
- Three component gauges — Sleep, Nutrition, and Activity — each showing their individual index value (1-11). Green means 9 or above, amber means 6-8, red means below 6.
- An adherence multiplier badge — 1x, 2x, or 3x.
- “Provisional” if the score has not yet locked. Scores lock 72 hours after the day ends.
Long-press the score card to see the full breakdown: your Performance Index components, Adherence Multiplier reason, the formula applied to your day, and which dimension has the most room for improvement.
The Two Components
The Performance Index measures your actual health behaviors. It sums three sub-indices, each scored 1-11, covering sleep duration, calorie accuracy, and physical activity. A PI of 24 or higher means you’re hitting your targets across all three dimensions. See Performance Index Explained for the full breakdown.
The Adherence Multiplier measures your engagement with the system. It has three tiers: 1x for incomplete records, 2x for complete records, and 3x for complete records plus full protocol adherence. This is the dominant factor in your score. See Adherence Multiplier Explained for details on each tier.
What this means for you: The score rewards two things equally: your actual health behaviors (sleep, nutrition, activity) and your commitment to tracking them. A user who logs consistently and follows their protocols will outscore a user with great metrics but incomplete records. This is intentional — the practice of accountability is itself valuable.
Why Deterministic Matters
There are no hidden weights. No AI deciding you had a “good” or “bad” day. If your score seems wrong, you can trace the calculation — the score card breakdown shows every input. The formula never changes between days.
A score of 72 today means the same thing as a score of 72 last Tuesday. Different users with identical inputs on identical targets receive identical scores. This is a measurement tool, not a judgment engine.
No Score? Check Eligibility
If your dashboard shows missing items instead of a score, your day hasn’t met the minimum data requirements. See Eligibility: Why Is My Score Missing? for troubleshooting steps.
