1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing or using Rubric ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE

Rubric is an AI-powered health coaching application that provides nutrition logging, behavioral protocols, and personalized coaching. Rubric is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

3. NOT MEDICAL ADVICE

Important: Rubric is a wellness tool, not a healthcare provider. Our AI coaching and nutrition information are for general wellness purposes only. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions about your health, diet, or exercise routine.

4. USER ACCOUNTS

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate information

5. ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Upload malicious content or attempt to exploit the AI
• Create multiple accounts to abuse free trials or features

6. SUBSCRIPTIONS & BILLING

Rubric offers subscription plans billed through Apple's App Store. By subscribing:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled 24 hours before the period ends
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device settings
• No refunds for partial billing periods

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Rubric and its content, features, and functionality are owned by Rubric and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

8. USER CONTENT

You retain ownership of content you submit (photos, logs, notes). By submitting content, you grant us a license to use it to provide and improve the Service. We may use anonymized, aggregated data to improve our AI models.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rubric shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content, nutrition estimates, or coaching advice.

11. TERMINATION

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

12. CHANGES TO TERMS

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
