Tuning Your Profile
Tuning Your Profile
Every setting from onboarding lives on your Profile screen and can be changed at any time.
To access your Profile, tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar. From here, you can view and edit all the information you provided during onboarding, plus additional settings that become available after setup.
What Each Setting Controls
| Setting | Where It’s Used |
|---|---|
| Allergies | Controls the Iron Dome safety system. Every AI-generated response is scanned against your allergy list before you see it. Changes take effect immediately. |
| Body Metrics (height, weight, birth year, sex) | Used in calorie target calculations (TDEE). Updating your weight recalibrates your daily targets. |
| Activity Level | Directly affects your baseline calorie target. The difference between “sedentary” and “very active” can be hundreds of calories per day. |
| Dietary Preferences | Informs the Coach and Scribe about your dietary base (omnivore, vegetarian, vegan, etc.) and religious dietary requirements. |
| Coaching Style | Adjusts the Coach’s communication approach — intensity, complexity, and tone. |
| Exercise Preferences | Informs the Coach when recommending workouts. |
| Gym Access & Equipment | Coach tailors workout suggestions to the equipment you have available. |
| Injuries & Limitations | Coach avoids recommending exercises that would aggravate stated conditions. Free-text field, up to 500 characters. |
The Fitness Profile
Exercise-related settings have their own dedicated screen. From your Profile, tap the Fitness section to open the Fitness Profile. This is where you manage:
- Activity level (sedentary, lightly active, moderately active, active, very active)
- Exercise preferences (multi-select)
- Gym membership status
- Available equipment (categorized selection)
- Injuries or physical limitations
Allergies Are the Most Important Field
Your allergy selections are the single most safety-critical setting in the app. The Iron Dome system uses this list as its primary ruleset — scanning every AI response for allergen matches, including hidden sources (for example, flagging pad thai as a peanut risk).
When you update your allergies, the change takes effect on the very next AI interaction. There is no delay or sync period.
Re-tuning Your Targets
Your Profile also includes a Re-tune option that walks you back through key onboarding screens to recalibrate your calorie and macro targets. Use this when your goals, activity level, or body metrics have changed significantly.
