Creating Your Account

Creating Your Account

Rubric uses Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In exclusively. There are no email/password accounts to create or manage.

How It Works

Download Rubric from the App Store and open it. You will be prompted to authenticate with one of two methods:

  • Sign in with Apple
  • Google Sign-In

That is the entire account creation process. There is no username to choose, no password to set, and no verification email to click. Your account is tied directly to your Apple ID or Google account.

Why No Passwords

Rubric does not store credentials. Authentication is handled entirely by Apple and Google — two providers with infrastructure-grade security teams. This eliminates three common problems:

  1. No passwords to forget. You sign in with the same account you already use on your phone.
  2. No credential breaches. Rubric never has your password, so it cannot be leaked.
  3. No phishing surface. There is no login form to impersonate.

What Happens Next

After authentication, the onboarding flow begins immediately. You will set up your profile, body metrics, goals, dietary preferences, allergies, and system permissions across a guided 12-step process. The whole thing takes about five minutes.

Important Notes

  • Accounts can only be created on iOS. The web portal at app.rubric.fit is a companion tool for existing accounts — you cannot sign up from a browser.
  • Your account is permanent until you delete it. There is no trial period or account expiration.
  • One identity provider per account. If you sign in with Apple, your account is linked to that Apple ID. To use Google instead, you would need a separate account.
