Dashboard Overview
Dashboard Overview
The dashboard is Rubric’s home screen. It shows your current day’s health snapshot in a single scrollable view.
Layout (Top to Bottom)
Date Navigation Bar. Left and right arrows step through days. Tap the date in the center to open a date picker and jump to any day in the past year. When viewing a historical day, a “Today” chip appears to bring you back. All dashboard sections update to reflect the selected date.
Today’s Snapshot Card. A unified card with two sections:
- Health Metrics Row — four columns showing Sleep (hours and efficiency), Steps, Active Calories, and Heart Rate. Data comes from Apple HealthKit. A dash appears for any metric without data.
- Macro Bars — four horizontal progress bars for Calories, Protein, Carbs, and Fat. Each bar shows your current intake against your effective target (e.g., “1,850/2,000”). If you exceed a target, the bar turns red and a warning icon appears. Weight is shown at the bottom of the card when data is available.
Protocol Carousel. If you have active protocols, they appear as swipeable cards with dot indicators. Each card shows the protocol name, day count (“Day 5 of 14”), today’s adherence status, and individual rule results. Tap “Reflect on Today” to complete your daily check-in, or the detail arrow to open the full protocol view. If you have no active protocols, the carousel shows a prompt to create one. Long-press a protocol card to view the full contribution history.
Daily Score Card. Your Rubric Score for the selected day. When eligible, it displays the score number color-coded by tier, a tier badge, three component gauges (Sleep, Nutrition, Activity), and the Adherence Multiplier. Long-press for the full score breakdown. When data is missing, the card lists what’s needed to unlock the score. See The Daily Rubric Score for details.
Weekly Summary Button. A link at the bottom to view your weekly progress summaries and past transcripts.
Interacting with the Dashboard
Pull to refresh. Swipe down from the top to force a HealthKit sync and recalculate your score. Useful when you know your wearable has new data.
Long-press the score card. Opens the score breakdown bottom sheet showing your Performance Index components, Adherence Multiplier reason, the formula applied, and a suggestion for your biggest improvement opportunity. A “How scoring works” link connects to the full scoring reference.
Swipe the protocol carousel. Navigate between active protocol cards. The selected card is remembered between sessions.
Tap the date. Opens a date picker to view any past day within the last 365 days. Future dates are not selectable.
What the Dashboard Does Not Show
The dashboard synthesizes your health data into scores, targets, and adherence — it does not display raw HealthKit charts, sleep stage graphs, or heart rate timelines. Rubric is an auditing tool, not a data visualization platform. There is no social feed, leaderboard, or comparison feature.
